Born in St Paul's hospital in 1949 to John and Erma Basaraba (deceased), moving to Surrey, where he was educated at A.H.P. Matthew, William Beagle and Queen Elizabeth Senior Secondary, a letterman on defense in basketball, and member of the Westminster Blues soccer team, and an Ironworker Local 97 welder/rodbuster, brother to Laura, Audrey, and Heather, father of Laura Lee, Kevin, and Crystal. John died in St Paul's hospital January 9, 2015 after a long illness, and a life of suffering from addictions, rest in peace john, vaya con dios, No service by request
